Pancake Day am Wimmer Gymnasium
On March 1st, Pancake Day is celebrated in the U.K., Ireland, and Canada. We celebrated a little delayed on March 24th by making pancakes in Wimmersaal. The "Begabtenförderung" students made two types of pancakes- one Austrian style and another American style, filled with nutella, marmelade, chocolate, blueberries and maple syrup.
Pancake Day features a pancake flipping race which took place around Wimmerhaus. Students had to dash while flipping pancakes in frying pans, aiming to be the first to reach the finish line with the pancake intact. We, teachers Maeve and Ms. Unger, are very proud of the students’ culinary skills and competitive energy. It was a successful Pancake Day in Oberschützen.
